Trending @Infosys; I want to get release from my current project but my manager initiate the pip against me? Please suggest how to get relese?

Last September, I sent an email to my manager requesting a release from my current project but did not receive a response. The following week, I sent an email to his manager, stating that I would not be able to work on the project after October 31st. Within minutes of sending that email, I received a call from the manager, who informed me that my request could lead to termination. Consequently, I raised a HEAR case regarding this matter.During the HEAR case call, I discussed everything in detail, but ultimately, they decided to initiate a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). However, my manager later informed me that he would not proceed with the PIP as he knows I am a "go-getter." Despite this, I still wish to be released from my project as it is an internal project, and I see no growth opportunities.I am concerned that they will initiate the PIP again if I pursue the release. Please suggest how I can get released from my project without facing these issues
