Please tell the whole Story

In the month of February I got the latter from the CAG department that didn't meet with performance so I am not qualified for performance bonus in March Month I was called by hr for performance improvement plan and my manager put me on PIP mode and told to hr that in night time I am not receiving his call and I felt that hr was taking manager side my manager and hr both told me if you will take leave so your manager can put you on risk so you need to accept PIP for 60 days if you will not clear PIP the goals sets which has been given by your manager you will be pullout from project and you will be handed over to employee relations department and they can terminate, I just discussed with my friends and wife I cleared first round of PIP also 7th June was my 2nd round PIP before 2nd round PIP I resigned from here during the night 1 O'clock . On morning my manager called me on 8 AM and asked me what this mail then I replied him I have taken decision to resign. My manager again called me Bhai Mere ko resigne krne se pahle kyu nhi bataya mai tere appraisal ke liye baat krne vala tha. Market bhut kharab h tere ko job kaun dega I replied to him don't worry It's my headache and hr also asked me due to this reason you are leaving from here. I replied to her I am not getting a performance bonus so that is also the reason for resigning.

Now u have to serve 90 days of notice period or u will be relieved immediately ? I heard if we put paper in PIP we will get a termination letter not the experience letter - is it true ?

How did you resign and why they were shocked

They were thinking that they were threatening me every time so they were shocked my manager was every time telling me that if I take leave then he will destroy my career now he needs to give justification to hr why resources is going? So the manager asked and told me that I will provide an appraisal for you.

By using the app there is a separation portal so you can use and fill the reason for leaving.

How come they initiate PIP to make people resign and when they do they are shocked?

Why they shocked ?
They don't want you to resign?
