Trending @Infosys; I cannot resign otherwise they will terminate me?
I have got the rating as Needs Improvement for the last year due to some issues after that I am working in a project for the last 6 months. I have worked for other projects too and never got such rating.
Now the HR is asking me to go into PIP. They did not give me any option for resignation. They rather said If I would resign the company would terminate me and I won’t get the relieving letter. The HR also said she would let me resign if I was on bench.
Not clearing the PIP also leads to termination. Resignation between the PIP period also leads to termination. Resignation while being in project also leads to termination.
P.S. - Termination here means terminating the employee without any relieving letter.
Is working sincerely for this company a crime? What should I do in this condition?

First point . If you resign company cannot do anything. At best they can relieve you immediately with the proper relieving letter. As per policy company has to provide you an option for PIP which you can decline and ask for other options.
In this case it looks like you are a billable resource and new manager doesn’t want to lose you but at same time HR is being forced to initiate PIP due to policy: they are internally playing a game to deny you the option of 5 months salary. You can escalated to higher level HR

So if you are confident of your skills go ahead and resign . Even if they want they cannot terminate someone who has resigned and give bad remarks in letter . You can take them to labor court even if they try it. But if you want 5 months salary as well then you have to fight and escalate Higher ups in HR. Let’s us know how it does

What the hell is this.? Some kind of Gunda Raj in Infosys?.. I would suggest you write a mail to her manager and higher authorities.. experience and reliving letter is a must If you are resigning by your own

I think for this also they will initiate some disciplinary action against me. I am so frustrated that I cannot even leave infosys peacefully that too while i am working in a project.

Befor getting the PIP mail you can resign after that also but its better before .....
And worst they can do is giving 3 month salary for immediate release with experience letter...
So no need worry .... You want to serve full notice period you can also serve its upto you ...gou can also reject immediate release by not accepting 3 month salary..
And whatever they are saying ask them to reply same on mail...
STG HR never reply on mail ..they said these type of things on call only ..
They just wants to scare you so that you dont resign and go to pip ....

You might not get reliving letter only if you commit a crime while being in office
In every other case like poor performance, voluntary resignation, firing, etc., you should be getting the letter. Else it's a crime on company's part
You can fight them legally
I knew a person who dragged TCS HRs to court as his resignation was not accepted till last working day

Everyday new low from infy.

Tell them you know ur rights and you can take legal action against them as well if they try to do these kind of dirty tricks

I suggest you, to drop an official mail, loop DM, HR, PM, BP HR and convey your message in mail that you want to regine or don't want to continue PIP, if there is a mail then I guess they take things genuinely & 1 thing no one can force you to work it's your will regine from company & don't worry about relieving letter at last they have to provide you.
