Trending @Infosys; I am tagged to a project, need to move out from this project

Folks , I am tagged to a project from past 10 months now and the job role is not matching with my long term career aspirations, have informed the same to my management , but they are not releasing from this project. Can anyone help me with a more diplomat/alternate way to move out of this project ?
