Trending @Infosys; HR's stringent behaviour of the package

Hi folks, I recently joined Infosys and would like to share my experience with the HR during my interview and salary negotiation. As you all know and might have done during the initial interview process, you need to fill all your details like education, experience, current package and your expectations in the Infosys portal. Based upon your details you get the interview call. The same happened to me I got the call and the interview lasted for approx 2 hrs. It was good communication and all the interviewers were quite satisfied with my skill experience and the knowledge of the dome. A couple of days after the interview I got the call from HR confirming the same and saying that we are good to offer you the X Lps ( as I mentioned in the portal), but here comes the twist. A couple of weeks went by and no response from them, and all of a sudden I got the call saying the BU can't afford the X amount you request but instead we can provide you X-4 Lpa. I was confused and trying to understand what went wrong and trying to negotiate, but it was of no use, HR was really adamant and rude. At least I agreed because I really wanted to change.

Cut two when I joined the company completing all the formalities I found that the package I was offered for the JL I am working for is even less than the standard package by at least 2 Lpa.

So be sure what if you want to join. If anyone has faced the same harassment please don't comment.
