Considering your salary is 12 LPA So, from

0 - 4 LPA -> Tax amt = NIL 4 - 8 LPA -> Tax amt = 20k 8 - 12 LPA -> Tax amt = 40k

So, your total tax amount becomes 60k and then you'll get rebate of 60k and your tax will become ₹0

If you're a salaried employee: then you'll not be taxed till 12.75 LPA, considering 75k standard deduction claim.
