What my friend did is, he raise e sepration and mention the reason about project issues. He got new project allocation in exchange of this he has to revoke the e sepration.

Its not easy. You need to check with your manager

You can try resignation and revoke the resignation once your replacement is found then move to bench and try for another project or simply check with your manager and let him know your issues or try step up
