Trending @Infosys; How risky is to get project release at Infosys

I am working as Associate Consultant in SAP. I am thinking of getting project release because work I am doing have no future prospects. I have an MBA and whatever I do here is completely useless. I do some configurations and report making for last 1.5 years I am doing same thing. No progress and no new thing. I want to get project release and probably try IJP. Any suggestions or tips. Thank you 🙏

Honestly IT services and that too in delivery is not a good place for most MBA folks. You end up doing this kind of work which really doesn’t need an MBA. But since they have got you they will put you in any role which doesn’t involve development. Cause infy doesn’t know how to sell/bill MBA. Your are in specialised unit so if you ask a release you will create bad blood. Unless your manager himself is mba and understand your plight. Let’s assume to get release and you no longer want Sap projects you will go to central pool. But you don’t have any relevant experince / skillset which other units in infosys wants so you again may end up in some random ahitty project

Applying IjP is a better idea as then you are not asking release you will be auto released

How long does it take IJP process to complete. I am completing 18 months on 14th April and start applying for relevant opportunities from same day. Hope I get something relevant to my skill.
