Direct eligibility for ACON without written exam is there if your DQ lies in top 10% of people in your unit i.e you come in Premium members then you directly gets nominated for the Video Pactorial round. No written exam is needed then. And yes its not rare, most of the people have achieved ACON bridge through the same, only a handful of people go beyond by Writter exam coz the level of questions is CAT level and time is less.
