How much control does a Program Manager at Infosys have over the percentage hike given to employees reporting to them compared to others under the same manager?
None. If you do resign the DM has a leeway of about 10-15% as part of retention budget. The same can be used to also increase someone pay proactively when budget is made available. Budget is limited. Based on your rating the hike is calculated by the HR and manager does not play any role
Is it possible that for same rating and similar comments, two different person gets different hike (more than 10% difference in hike) under same manager ?
Rare. But can happen. He might have filed e-sep and delivery manager could have recommended a retention hike. But it can only happen if DM recommends and not with your PM
