Trending @Infosys; Hi, i have got an apportunity to work in UK. When i asked about the allowance they are saying approx 46k you will get. which i think its next to impossible to servive along with family..any suggestion do i go ahead with the apportunity?

Cost of living is very high in UK. It won’t be that much convenient with 46k and you need to calculate tax etc.

I’m not sure but on of my friend went to UK from infy. He couldn’t survive with that amount. If I find any I’ll share.

Good enough for a family, typically 50-60k will be for eng permanent employees..

It depends upon your offshore package + your band + your experience + your role. In UK, ICT first year no tax, 2year 20% , 3rd onwards it should be 30% . You need to cross check current tax slab rate. If you take your family assuming 2 kids, the cost of living approx 2500 to 2800 pm This includes day to day expenses + family entertainment
