Trending @Infosys; Help Needed: Notice Period Buyout Clarification

Hi all,

I need some clarification regarding Infosys notice period policy.

I recently initiated separation due to a better offer (100% hike + 15% bonus, making CTC ~8 LPA). I cleared the DSE bridge, but the new role was only offering 6.25 LPA, which wasn’t acceptable.

My manager and DM agreed to a 60-day notice period, and I’ve already aligned my work and production handover accordingly. However, HR says I need to pay 1 month’s salary as Infosys has compensated one month of NP.

If I'm working the full 60 days and wrapping up everything, why do I still need to pay? Has anyone faced this before, or is there a way to get the buyout waived if your work completes within 60 days?

Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

Infosys has 90 days notice period and you are looking early release. You have to pay early release days amount. You can ask this amount from new company, if you can negotiate, they can pay. It used happen in past. Previously infosys doesnt have practice to early release, seems like it changed now.

So In Infosys you have to pay the rest of NP days?

Take the 60 day release and run!!! Why bother about a month pay if you are getting 100% hike. Infy has 90 day NP. If they want to screw you they can enforce it. So quickly accept the 60 day , pay them a month and get going !!!
