any one who who got selected in 2024 lottery and got Visa approved I wanted to know is your H1B visa stamping done... mine Visa got approved in March end... and when I talked to my manager he told stamping will only be done if there is an opportunity to travel within 5-6 month..
does infosys do this every time..?
Yes that’s how it works!! If you push a lot and threaten to quit they might do. Many are waiting even after visa is stamped . So h1b has become more of way to retain people with carrot. I know few people who are waiting for more than 4+ years and now have more or less given up. But atleast once you have visa stamped you have chance of quitting and going onshore with another company
Same case for me . H1b picked last year . When u asked my DM. He raised amendment for different client now, glomo put on hold. Because some org level approval
I know ppl who are waiting since a year. I believe it’s time to lose hopes on h1b and switch to another company .
Note; if you have i-797 copy with you .. maybe you go and try with other desi consultancy , however the rejection chances will be higher for that petition
so I guess u still have a chance to travel sooner... May I know why they have put in hold... and when ur manager has raised an amendment one ur visa got approved??
