I have H1B stamped, not getting any US projects, anyone went through h1b transfer process from India before moving to US?
If you have a stamped visa it’s easy but they will need your USCiS receipt number or the currently approved petition. If it’s not stamped it gets trickier as it’s not really a transfer the new company basically applies fresh using your existing slot (you don’t have to go through lottery) . USCIs can reject it. Also there is a chance moment you resign Infy can cancel your application that also means transfer can’t happen but they uusually don’t. The easiest route to is through offshore entities of the big contracting companies like Randstad and Teksystem . They do have lot of contracting positions in US and take a lot of H1b in US. So are many small contracting companies run by Indians who only staff h1b , but they may ask money from you to transfer and will not pay you in US till you get an assignment so a bit risky.
