Infosys hasn’t filed the petitions for many employees who were selected in the H1B lottery this year. The GI team hasn’t filed the few employees’ petition within given time June 30th.
The worst part is that they aren’t even communicating this to the employees and are still keeping it confidential. This is unethical.
No company in the world would ever do this to their employees.
Onsite is a scam and they charge the client 350,000 USD and give peanuts for employees and one can't sustain with this salary. Please don't take the bait.
Wouldn’t say always that is the case. I am living a loan free life because of on-site !! Also depends on whether your are going as bachelor / married . The country you are going is there a provision to switch and earn more
Not sure when was your onsite but after pandemic the onsite salary is not sustainable maybe for JL-6 plus night be sufficient
When someone offers you an onsite opportunity, stay alert or try to avoid it. It may consume lots of your precious time. Heard it a lot about onsite scenarios. Feel like it's just a greedy trap to retain/ make you work in same proj for longer time. Any views?
Same thing happened with me. Today received email from GI team that your visa process got abandoned due to invalid records which I found vague reason to end my hopes and it did happen with other folks as well.
Agreed!! I am aware of multiple folks who have are facing this situation. Is it a fraud - no. Company most likely doesn’t have budget and there are many H1b currently who have not yet been sent on-site. Is it unethical - yes. Because hope was given to all these folks and now they are being kept in dark. Anything which was not submitted by June 30 should reflect the right status. I.e not filed . Looks like this was done at central finance team level as most DMs are also feigning ignorance . Again they have come up with some wacky criteria for filing. Many folks had been trying for last 3-4 years to get through lottery. Now once the biggest hurdle was crossed infy double crossed them .
Same thing happened to me and many of my team mates, this is a big scam to keep talent engaged, they really don't care about employees career aspirations.. there are many unprofessional and unethical practices being followed here..
Glad atleast you realised it now and telling folks and taking through the process takes ages and atleast one can easily take upto 2 years so work like donkey for 2 years and still keep the hope that they will send and after sending your life will become miserable 😖
It's true and happened to me as well. I don't think so it's a budget issue and if so Then there is no word for expressing it.
No other reason it not budget issue. This year seems to be a year of all time firsts. Selective hikes in November, not filing H1b after getting through lottery.
I know a person who was selected. Everything was confirmed but the second level approver was on a month long leave and he couldn’t approve the application which later got trashed by the Glomo team. How the hell do these guys get such long leaves while we have to get approvals for taking even a 2 day leave in a month.
Hope peeps are aware of sabbatical leave and ofcourse leave beyond eligible are LOP
