Man, don't be disheartened and I was sailing in the same boat as you, my overall experience is 4.5 and my package at Infy was 4.57. Now, I'm on notice period holding an offer of 10.4 LPA and still have 45 days left. So, don't lose hope. You got this man. Talking about the switch, by looking at your experience till now, I think, you should go for the DBA role or do some research on YT for the roles which includes DB, upskill yourself and leave Infy. All the best bud.

What will be the future of the DBA role? Any idea?

Different skill set options,

Mandatory - Any cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)

Option 1 - Sql in cloud with any visualization tool like Power BI/Looker/Grafana and any ETL like tools/methodology.

Option 2 - Full stack development in any language most preferably Java or Python.

Option 3 - Devops like Terraform/Ansible/Jenkins, Github, Docker, Kubernetes.

Option 4 - Frontend development, I am not sure about the most suitable language here.

Option 5 - Security and networking domain like Palo Alto, Zscalar, CyberArk, Sonrai, DLP etc.

Take the mandatory option and combine it with any of the options mentioned above. Not only you will be unstoppable but you will also have vast opportunities in the outside world as well for your professional growth.

Good luck!!!!!!
