Trending @Infosys; Guidance for getting Cloud projects for Lateral joiners
Hi folks, I joined infy as a lateral joiner with 3+ years experience in Azure operations and support, initially the mapped manager mentioned they are working with clients for onboarding a new project for which I was hired. Later that was unsuccessful and I was released to the bench this month but till now I am receiving requests for mapping which are unrelated to me and most of the project managers want JL 5 resource or 5 + years experience so can anyone help me with any opportunities with Azure projects relevant to me or any other way which is helpful in landing a project in Azure? Any suggestions or guidance is appreciated
I have hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform in Azure and got HashiCorp and Microsoft Azure Admin certified. Recently upskilled with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and currently working on learning and implementing hands-on with container technologies.

You young folks rely too much on this cloud nonsense. Stick to traditional IT roles, they are more stable and respected. This Azure stuff is just a fad. Focus on core IT skills and you'll be better off.

Bro are you familiar with what this cloud and infra works ? How many projects do you think they have projects with traditional IT, or are there any projects where people travel to the data centre and manually manage the physical infrastructure ? Or do you think it is easy to switch to those IT roles without having relevant experience and would the so called experienced leads and managers like you would welcome us by providing opportunities? All they ask now is 5+ years exp without giving an opportunity to present themselves on how capable they are
