Trending @Infosys; Gratuity component in infosys

My role is currently systems engineer, I joined infy 2 years back.

Currently CTC is 3.8LPA out of which Rs 780 is gratuity deducted per month, which is not even mentioned in salary slip.

Now as per Infosys policy employees will get the gratuity component only is they stay in Infosys for atleast 4.5 years.

Just wanted to know, is this the same gratuity policy for other companies as well?

I mean if some one works in infy for say 3 years and then switches company , that persons entire gratuity of 36-40 months which comes down to around 31k to 32k wont be paid to him/her?

If that is the case, what at all is the point of adding it to the overall annual CTC for first 4 tears 🙂

Gratuity policy will be similar for other companies as well. If you need, we need to plan accordingly to fall in 4.5yrs until last working day or else need to switch early.

What is use of having discussion with HR during offer discussions and what we are listening to during onboarding time ?
