Trending @Infosys; Facing My Crush at Work: Overcoming Fear and Moving Forward
It might sound strange or even amusing to read this story on this platform, but this is the biggest problem I'm currently facing. When I was in my third year of college, I met a guy from Infosys who was working from home. He was very kind to me, and from the very beginning, I felt a strong attraction to him because of his intelligence, disciplined mindset, and healthy lifestyle.
We talked often and developed a strong bond of friendship. Eventually, I confessed my feelings to him, but he didn’t feel the same way and rejected me. Later, I received five job offers in my final year of college, and I accepted the highest offer, which was an SP package, starting at the end of 2024.
However, I later found out that his designation, location, and even unit are the same as mine. I'm terrified of facing him in person. The sting of rejection still feels fresh, and I haven’t been able to move on—he's still my crush. Whenever I think about encountering him, I freeze from head to toe.
This fear has kept me from going to my base location; instead, I’ve been swiping in and out from a different location. I’m considering changing my location once I get a project since I’ve heard that employees without a project, especially those not based in Bangalore (BLR), are being placed on the bench. At least for now, I’m still in training.
I really need suggestions on how to handle this situation.
