Is there any type of gain involved if you complete an external certificate on the latest technology. If yes, how should one can proceed for the best use of it.

We can not simply upload any external certificates. That particular certification should be there in Lex. So first search with your certification name, if it is there open that page and down below budget approval you can see upload certificate.
