Trending @Infosys; Do really managers care about employees

Hi,

I have 8 years of qa experience and working as test lead from 2022 April at infosys. I have given my resignation without any offer in hand on April 17th.

I got a call from my manager on the very next day. He asked about the expectations for which I said I don’t have any expectation from infosys. Next day on April 20th I got a call from gpm to know the same. I have given him a figure for which he did not agree and after few negotiations we both agreed on 25% hike. He said he will check with Dm and there is no response till may 10th. On may 10th morning he called me saying I got the approval from dm and we are forwarding it to HR team but the hike might be reduced 1 to 2 % at hr level. I didn’t understand why hr will decide the package. Even then I said ok expecting the letter to come in 4,5 days. Gpm sent an email to me with dm in cc about the same but the hike bracket was further increased like 20-25%.

As there is no response till may end I started looking for the opportunities because I lost the hope. On June 6th I got a message on teams from gpm saying he got the verbal approval from hr and waiting for official confirmation( I really don’t understand in which parallel universe hr approvals are mandatory and taking more than a month.) . I said ok but I know I am definitely going out even they give it because I feel like they are not doing anything just playing around in the name of hr.

On June 17th I got an offer and responded on the email where Dm was involved saying as it got delayed I explored the opportunities out side and going with the offer received.

I got below response from DM

I just got an update from HR that your case is through now. The actual letter will come in 2-3 weeks time So can I request you to please reconsider? I know its been delayed a lot but I don't want to lose a critical and good resource like you :(

I may be dumb but see the atrocity of these so called managers.

It is the same for many people.They just stop you from moving but cannot really tell when the promise can be fulfilled. Please proceed with new offer

He called me and was literally blaming me saying we have already processed and pushing hr for it and now you are saying that you don’t want to stay
