Trending @Infosys; Disorganized/chaotic first week

My first day was last week as an IT specialist ,I must say this has been different from other places I have worked where the manager shows you around and introduce you to a bunch of people and take you out for lunch on your first day….

First thing I noticed was my title was different from what I have in the offer letter. After orientation I reached out to my team leader, had a quick chat and told me to reach out to another manager which I did and apparently he didn’t know I was starting that day….ended us connecting 3 days later

And from the chat I had with the team leader seems like there is going to be office politics in play here , apparently someone is already doing the job I was hired for but obviously not doing it well and they haven’t told the person they hired me, hence I am told to prepared to weather the cold shoulders the lady would give me…..

Oh haven’t even heard from “my buddy” so it’s just a lot going on and i am wondering if I made the right choice of joining and is it even worth asking them to change the job title ?
