Trending @Infosys; Concerns regarding Notice Period
If you get an offer from another company and your project is also completed - no deliverables from your end but you haven't moved to bench yet ? Do managers reduce the notice period days?? How to convince if not? Has anyone been released in a month if they don’t have any work?
This is company policy not manager policy’s . It’s there to prevent poaching for immediate demands. So company have immediate requirements and they are willing to pay higher so that demands can be filled not because you are highly skilled. But in India the same companies put in 3 month notice period to prevent the same as well !! For manager to go against company policy he needs to convince many other higher ups for which he has no incentive but more headache
Same situation for me.......I got released within a week....... don't tell them that u r having another offer.......say just you are having some family health issues so you won't be able to continue here........if manager is good guy he will release you early
