Trending @Infosys; Complains regarding unfair practice of appraisal delay

I joined this organisation two years back and I am sure there are lots of you who had joined it during that time or before it. Last year in November, they gave hikes to only "certain eligible people" stating it as "Salary correction". This salary correction was done for almost 20-30% of the entire workforce. Now, the so called Infosys leadership is saying that they have provided hikes to everyone in November and have now delayed the appraisal for last 2-3 years. The norm they are trying to settle down is provide appraisal from November which includes only 4-5 months of hikes and that too only for the selected ones using their so called "eligibility criteria". Also, what to say about variable pay,last quarter outstanding rating in one of the units got 80%. So, this is their so called ethics. And when it comes to work , they have so high expectations of it. And GRs are just pathetic , so so pathetic. They won't even consider your queries on anything. Isn't there any forum where it can be said about the false PR they are trying to create and normalise within the company?

Please don't encourage any of your friends to join Infosys, reject all candidates if you are taking interviews, ather qualify all incompetent resources. If they are unethical. Let's be unethical to them and teach them a lesson.

Agreed with you. Hope there is any grievance cell or something for IT folks, where we can lodge complaint regarding this

We are free to look elsewhere for job if we feel that we are not valued here. Market will correct itself only if we are fluid enough for the correction to happen. No meaning in complaining and finding loopholes to punish them. There are plenty of ethical and straight forward ways to achieve what we intend to achieve.

Off course we are but why can't we say it . Why can't we all stand together for once to bring change in the corporate HR practices ( like 3 months NP, extended working hrs, and untimely appraisals , they discuss abt appraisals unless you put down paper . Horrible expectation if u took the offer and get retained . As if they are doing some kind of kindness .horrice work culture bwe have in India and these service India like infy are leading them

I am not sure why you guys think appraisal discussion is related to compensation review. These are completely different exercises. And no company is obliged to provide yearly salary hike. It’s a demand supply market. Don’t you think the company is aware of the market situation for the talents.

With all due respect I am just putting my points here. First, you missed the whole point of the post.Second, if we go by your logic, Then what's the purpose of giving employees ratings and having their performance and their achievements getting noted down in icount. Then, this altogether loses the point of who is performing better and who is not. Just pay the complete CTC of one has been promised. But then, the company is not able to do that bcos they are taking out the variable pay component from our CTC only leading to salary less than CTC. Moreover, variable is dependent on the company performance so technically entire CTC should be fixed and the variable should be given based on companies performance and employees performance in their respective project. Whether they have been able to do that, nope. Companies like big4 even provide benefits along with salary correction from to time. I have seen that happening within my own circle. But that same thing, hasn't been implemented within the company but a false narrative has been leading outside regarding hikes been given while internally things are something else.

Even when the company is doing well, they have not been able to provide full variable pay to the employees, leave the hikes part. When your outstanding rating is getting 80% in one of the units, then surely things are not right headed and something is wrong.

Can't agree more. No hikes ,no 100% variable pay but they expect to contribute to the organization by taking extra responsibilities like giving your weekends to them.

I just joined a project, and its horrible. The upper-management thinks that developers are magicians, and can develop any app within day. They convey the same to clients and then ask us to meet those unrealistic demands. Shamelessly they are asking us to work on weekends. And with this mismanagement we are almost daily working from 9AM to 12AM.
