If there is escalation from client end I can assure you that your job is in danger...mark my words so please try to manage the this on manager level and apologize otherwise you will be kicked out of the project and after that your employment will be Also in danger

KingKong landed in some serious trouble in the past, I strongly oppose your comment here nothing like this happens. Everything has a accountability to be held upon, in such scenarios just explain what went wrong and that’s enough I believe

Yeah, don’t worry buddy. Just be clear about your work and efforts over email or any channel you are comfortable with the management. Escalations is not particularly about a resource it’s about whole project/team.

Escalation is part of IT industry... nothing to worry but try to avoid coz on that basic manager will talk blabber and will recommend lesser hike and rating

Didn't they create any issue for this

No issue. Ur manager will try to sort it out with client and try to keep u in project. But if client disagree they u have to warm the bench

In my experience i never saw they kick out of company . I guess until something big billion dolar loss and client withdrawing project not happened they will not terminate u and not kick u out from project . I had one in tcs that time they asked a formal mail explanation their i told the things which went wrong and also promised them it will not happen again. Then no one asked even after that. So it’s not good to get escalation but it’s just a way client told company to do it like a dhamki to make improve the speed .. one more thing i would say if you find such situations of not able to complete a project tell ur manager before itself what causing u to not complete they can help and sometime they will understand. Definitely they will push u to complete with over work but trust me telling them before time always helps

Nothing to worry about escalation. Even your manager might have been escalated as well in past. Its not a big deal

It all depends on how far the client is willing to go. We have a resource who has is working in same account, removed from 3 projects for non performance. But still manager was able to put him in next project in same account. As client just wanted the resource out of their project. But had another instance where a good guy due ego issues with client went so bad that client gave a input of do not rehire . So basically that person cannot work for that client organization in any capacity in futude. (Basically blacklisted). So In case of escalations apologize and move ahead . Client is always the king and no manager can / will be able to protect you if you have wrong type of client manager

Depends on the severity of the issue on which the client escalated; I can give 2 instances where client forced to remove the person from the account . One was related to accessing production data which person should only do when you have an incident . Other was related to production data corruption; client can insist removal from the account
