Trending @Infosys; Career shift from bench to SDE role

Hi Folks, So I joined Infosys as a fresher and have 8 months of experience right now. I was trained in Python and Big Data, but my interest has always been in Java and Spring Boot. After training, I’ve been on the bench with no project experience. For the past 2 months, I’ve been practicing DSA and building Java projects. I now want to switch to a product-based company as an SDE.

So my question is What should I mention as my notice period while applying? Also, can I cover my bench time by saying I was on some Java realated projects to improve my chances?

I really need guidance here..
