Trending @Infosys; Canada on-site Opportunity
Hello Infoscions,
Wanted to seek your advice on this - I am on notice period but just got a mail from Senior Management regarding Canada opportunity (this mail wasn't sent to me individually but as part of the whole DU). Now I don't have any visa. And in the survey they're saying it takes typically 3-4 months to process a visa from scratch. So, will it be worth it to stay at Infy if this opportunity is given to me? Is going on-site still worth it, in today's anti-immigrant sentiments? Is on-site Canada opportunity any good?

Leave infy if you already have another offer, even if you nominate yourself for this on-site opportunity it's not 100% you'll get it.

Don't ask for visa, ask for canada onsite (working in project ) even they raise visa and not sure they will send to canada. Better to ask for assignments rather than visa

My manager is offering to initiate the Canada visa asap but what are the chances of getting mapped ti any project in Canada as he mentioned that they can only send us once we’re mapped to a project there. Is there anyone with a canada visa who knows?

Initiating visa for non US country is easy but that does not equate to a project or opportunity being there in that country under your manager. It could just be a tactic to keep you on for another one year on hope of onsite

Getting a Canada Visa approved is easy. It should take 3 months from scratch. Main thing is getting an opportunity or opening in Canada. I have seen many who have a valid visa but couldn't travel due to lack of open position there. So, if you have it already and client is ready to wait for 3-4 months. You should opt

It's not even clear that you get that opportunity. Managers after promised the onsite still not sure of getting it. Visa also sometimes get stuck, in my case it took more than 1 year but not approved and I had to withdraw it. So a lot of factors involved in onsite. If you have a good offer better to go with it. Onsite in infy is a big scam.

My project is based out of Canada, but what are the chances there? And if anyone staying can let us know what will be a better option? To stay there or find new job in india

It's just a lollipop, don't consider it.
