Trending @Infosys; Can you switch internally if you are not satisfied with your domain or project at Infosys?
I am currently working as a Associate Consultant in SAP at infosys. I am really not satisfied with my job role. I have an MBA and my major was marketing. Is it possible to do internal switch, if yes than how should I do it. Would I be making a mistake if I inform my manager about my situation. Please help me out.
Welcome to the trap!! Your manager has no incentive to give you job satisfaction if it involves moving you to another account , unit or projects . Cause then he is no longer your manager. The only options are apply for IJp which can be done only after 18 months. Else pester your manager for release and stop performing if doesn’t listen. Obviously a risky option but better than doing something you hate. Last option is to quit
But then having MBA in marketing what did you expect from infosys !! That they will put you in the thinly staffed marketing department. If you are ok with IT if not SAP what do you think will excite you? Sales force?
Try bridge program or Internal job postings. Don’t discuss with manager if you don’t have good connection with him/her
