Trending @Infosys; Can manager force to extend notice period

Hi everyone Currently I am working in Infosys as dse , I am serving notice period.i have to join my new company in March 2026. My current manager in Infosys is threating me that if you will not complete ongoing task in Infosys then he will extend my notice period.i am not taking any leave also.

Is this possible that forcefully my manager can extend notice period.i don't want my notice period to be extended.

Nope he cannot do anything like. Max he can do is put your rehire status as NO. But am assuming that is it a big deal for you. But it’s always good to it burn bridges. Try your best, but if acts too funny escalate him to HR and your DM stating exact threats he has used
