Trending @Infosys; Can I switch to cloud technologies now
I have around 9 years of work experience and im in support project since the beginning and didnt get any opportunity to shift to dev project and couldnt clear interviews related to dev roles due to lack of real time experience. Now Im done with my job and getting frustrated with the work and the salary im getting paid as I have a kid now to manage along with my job and getting paid too less for the work im doing. Im learning Azure and trying to shift to it, but im not feeling confident to give the interviews as my experience is bit high but dont have any realtime project experience. Please provide suggestions on how to move forward in my career and anyone faced the same situation, how you got through it?

Everyone are learning cloud and Devops and its overcrowded. I shifted from support to Devops. The learning is never ending. I'm shifting back to my previous domain. Because learning is never ending and at some point it becomes frustrating. Please decide before switching domains. Cloud is fine but Devops roles are really challenging. You should learn on everyday basis and willing to dedicate some hours of you weekends too. If you go through job descriptions, its very rare companies ask only cloud. 90% of the time they ask Devops skills too. Telling you all these out of my experience. Choose wisely. Dont go into something just because its treding. Analyse properly if it really suits you.

Thank you for sharing your experience.. its very helpful..

Definitely you can change.. based on your experience complete architect certification nd change ur present project details as cloud work nd switch..

Have you completed az900cert or any role based cert? Dm me I will help you to change project

Hi.. yes ive completed az 900 and az 104 as well an year back... but due to huge work in the project, couldnt change the project or company.. it will be very helpful if you can help me in anyway to get into azure related projects

Look for something niche, cloud, DEVOPS is overpopulated and it is continuous learning

Learn and complete a certification, then apply for ijp work for a year and switch
