
Trending @Infosys; Appraisal happens at Infosys level not at individual level!
Working in Infosys for 2.6 years where I worked on a project then I was released and put me into another for support work but as I’m on support where I have no learning. And I was asked to get trained on GenAI where they provided some Lex courses links and hope me to get certification from it but it is hard to get a certification only from Lex courses.
And as I asked my unit manager to give me a project he started asking like some unknown question which is not for beginners in GenAI and later said you are not ready for it.
I said what I should do if you ask questions like I’m an expert in a field.
And again I asked for any kind of increment he said it is happen at Infosys level not at individual level. Is it even true? Like my rating is Met Expectations so I deserve some increment at least.
If it is true please let me know.

Only commendable and outsanding rating gets appraisal and that too a filthy 9.82% or probably less.

Appraisal is process of evaluating your performance and giving you rating. Happens in October to September cycle, It’s done at an individual level. Your rating will be based on your performance/ non performance. Salary revision in infosys under normal circumstances happens effective April 1st , which is announced in June/July. The percentage hike you will get will depend on company performance, your unit performance and your rating. So if average hike infy gave is 8% , ME guy will get that , higher rated guys will get 3-5 % more. Laterals joining are given hikes at the time of joining so depending on their joining date they will most likely miss the first cycle of hike. This year was special year where they put some criteria in place and made them miss the second cycle as well. Leading to situation where many haven’t got hike for nearly 2+ years. At same time outstanding employees with tenor of more than 3 years have been rewarded handsomely some even getting 20% which is generally not heard in infy for regular hikes

Adhoc hikes on demand are not given in infy unless you put in your papers and they are trying to retain you. Everyone will get hike at same time when comp review is announced in June. Last year it was delayed and announced in November , this year also most likely it will be delayed
