Trending @Infosys; Anybody from Mumbai DC here ? I would like to do WFO, please suggest nearest dc from goregaon West.
I'm planning to visit Mumbai in Apr/May and would like work from nearest dc there. I will be staying in goregaon during that time. Please help.
Note: My base location is chennai mcity.
Mumbai DC is only open for individuals having a base such as Mumbai and not others.
So you mean it's not possible to visit any Mumbai DC to record work from office ?
No you can visit Mumbai dc if your seat booking is confirmed. 80% of the seats are for employees who's having base location as Mumbai. So non mumbai employees can book their seat from 20% quota.
So since i am living in mumbai and my base is hyderabad but i complete my work from office from Mumbai DC only. So there are 2 DC First is in Vikhroli East. There very limited seats are there and entry is allowed only on seat booking. So there are only 60 seats for non Mumbai dc people. Very difficult to book there. This dc will be near to u.
Second is in airoli mindspace
There it is around 180 seats available for non Mumbai dc people.
But now days only booking is allowed in 82 seats.
So they have started this thing as walkin.
U can walk in to this dc if there are seats Vacant inside then guard can allow you to enter.
Usually some seats are vacant so U can work from.there.
But this dc is very far from Goregaon.
U have 2 options
Take local train from goregaon to Dadar
Then from dadar to thane
Thane to digha gaon and then rickshaw till office.
One more option is take local from goregaon panvel one. Alight at vashi and from vashi take vashi thane train . alight at digha gaon and then rickshaw.
I stay in andheri and i follow the same
If by chance i get seat in Vikhroli then it's easy for me.but Airoli one is far
Duration to reach is 1.5 hours one way.

It's close to impossible to get a seat there, for other base location folks!!
No i have been assured by my manager that i would get transfer from mumbai to pune and would get a promotion so that i take my papers back. They gave me 64% increase in my salary but still today my manager said for now the transfer cannot be given since for mumbai office the transfers are on hold from 3 years. So very limited capacity in mumbai. Even if you try booking seats the seats are only maybe 80-90 that too gets booked within milli seconds. So no option and have to shift back to pune again😢😢

The nearest possible DC would be Pune DC. Mumbai DC would be near to impossible if that is not your base DC.
