I asked my manager to promote me to Technology Analyst...if he initiated the process means how I can ensure whether he is doing that or not...if already done in his end means I will come to know that by January only?when will they release my promotion letter

You donot know until you receive promotion mail. You have to blindly trust him, else follow up with him in the next quarter.

By january you will get confirmation, if not you will get confirmation in April with arrears salary from January

They will start disclosing rating from 3rd week of Dec. it varies per practice and Mostly it will be over by first week of Jan.
