Trending @Infosys; Am I Underpaid Compared to the Market?
Question: I have 3.5 years of experience (3 years in the same project) as a test engineer at Infosys, earning 6.5 LPA after my recent hike. My friend, a .NET developer who joined Infosys recently from another company, is earning 10 LPA. Did I fail to get my market value, or is my friend getting paid above market standards?

If you wanna know your market rate, you have to go to the market

💯 . Rename ur id to commonSense. Lol.

I am a Test Analyst in Infosys too. I have 4.5 years of experience and my salary till now was 6.4 LPA which after the recent hike changed to 7LPA now. I worked in cognizant for first 2 years, then switched to infosys at 5.75 LPA and after working here for 2.5+ years my CTC now is 7LPA.
Now I have decided to Switch to a new company. And I Got the offer from Natwest at 15LPA.
I got two more offers from 2 more companies at 13 and 14LPA. Publicis sapeint is willing to pay 17LPA also but I decided to go ahead with Natwest group.
Bottomline is -> Yes you are definitely underpaid.
What to do now -> If you are in Infosys already from 1.5+ years, go for a switch now and get a better offer else wait to complete atleast 1.5 years in infy and then switch.
Note -> I am a automation tester not manual. And .net developer or any other dev will generally have more salaries, infact your friend with similar experience in . net development did not get a Great offer i believe. He may have got Around 14-15.

Automation with tosca or selenium? What do you do apart from Automation like API and Performance testing?

When you role got changed, what is your salary before changed to analyst and how it got increased from test engineer. Did you got promotion directly or any process is there?

My role got changed in Oct 2024, Before As a test Engineer it was 4.24LPA now it is 6.5LPA Yeah, I got a promotion directly
