Trending @Infosys; Advice Needed: H1B Nomination & E-Separation

My manager has asked me to take back my e-separation, mentioning that they will nominate me for an H1B visa. Has anyone been in a similar situation before? I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences

In my experience, H1B visa is a lottery, I have been part of it for 2 yrs , not selected in lottery, I don't think mgr or his father can do anything. See news , infy tried some tricks for visa and got penalized. Others may have diff exp n view, pls seek out n consider them too. Ask to match offer or a good hike instead of this lollipop.

Even after nomination there no guarantee of getting selected in lottery and if incase you will get H1B there no assurance of getting mapped to the US project. Many of my colleagues are having H1B from past 2 years but not getting mapped to US projects. So if the offer is good then go for it.

I think today is the last day for nominations

Don't even think about it. If your manager really wanted to nominate you for H1B he would have done long ago he would not be waiting for your separation. Don't take this lolipop.

My friend has been nominated for last 6 years he didn’t get selected, another one got selected in lottery last year but they’d didn’t file the require documents last year , another one has approved h1b but they have not been able to find a project for him, and lastly another one with stamped visa and confirmed project , there sis Some travel ban and he is waiting for more than 6 months. So you decide!! There are just too many ifs and buts for you to be finally able to travel

Just leave. I speak with experience and was in the same situation an year back. I did not get the h1b. I have colleagues still waiting for an Onsite US opportunity since 2 years after their stamping.
