I have cleared the interviews for the Application Lead position. I had been waiting for this opportunity for the past 3 months. Recently, the HR team informed me that the only available location right now is Bhubaneswar. However, I am based in Hyderabad and would prefer to work from here. I asked if there’s any possibility of getting a Hyderabad location, but HR mentioned that there are no openings at the moment and my application would need to be cancelled. They advised me to reapply later. I’m looking for help or suggestions on how to handle this situation and try to get a Hyderabad location without losing this opportunity.
I was in Accenture for almost 3.5yrs. I went to office hardly for 4 to 5 days that too for team lunch and celebrations. Check with the HR if you are into a project already. And is work from home option available. Recently i heard one day in a week it is asked to come to office. If u r lucky u might get full work from home projects. Or plan for a day to office. Calculate your hike if it is feasible for the travel. And remember change is good. Learn to adopt to different situations professionally and personally.
