Trending @Infosys; 6A progression from Lead Consultant

I am a lead consultant, I am eligible for progression. I am being told to take Senior Project Manager as per DM no DM can give Principal Consultant Progression. What’s the rule/process here someone please explain.

There is no rule. In 3 years you are eligible for progression. As far as I know PCON progression should be easier for SMEs. Yes this is one of the most difficult progressions to get infosys even though there is no hike. Cause JL6A is the inner cicrcle and they want to keep it small. I have no idea why your manager is DM is saying he can’t give PCON progression. Are you in ADM unit with your peers being PMs and not Lead consultants? Then that might be the case .
