Trending @Infosys; 3 month Notice period

I have accepted an offer from the company but they wanted me to join within 40 days. Does Infosys release me earlier as the official notice period is 3 months. I have mapped into the project 2 months back only and my performance is very poor in this project earlier I had requested my manager to release me from the project but he didn't release me that time. Do I need to put down paper and then request him for early release. Any suggestions
