Trending @HCL; What’s the on-site scene now?
I have been to on-site before so it’s not a cribbing post about not getting on-site but it seems the on-site positions and opportunities have dried up after covid. My current project started in 2021 and we had 2-3 positions in US which were initially filled that time with contractors. But now we have got the contact renewal and now they have stoped these positions and only the on-site GPM is there, same with the infra side of the project. There used to be few names sent by ea ch project for H1B lottery each year that also did not happen since last 2 years.
Not just my account but I enquire few of my colleagues who are now senior and on E2 to E3.1 band they also saying that it’s a dry seasons since last 2-3 years with no own getting any chance.
One of the guy had B1 form raised in 2022 and still going through approvals here and there.
What’s is happening ? Is the on-site thing almost dead ?

True, they don’t want to incur any expenses related to onsite, if client needs and pays for the trip then only we get a chance otherwise NO chance
