I had an admiration for HCLTECH for its commitment to employees first during Vineet Nayars reign as CEO. I think the current crop of exec members are not capable enough or have ulterior motives to make as much money and exit most probably. Hence the focus on the stock and returns, no general welfare of employees as I see it after joining this concern. For selling to customers they show the moon and stars with no thought on how it will be delivered. In the name of competition they quote less later struggle have poor profit margins and think that automation is a silver bullet to be done by the same team that do the regular work as well. A bunch of idiots in Senior Mgmt who do not have an iota of knowledge on how to code or even understand DSA but talk as if they have the entire knowledge distilled into them. I would advise one thing to young CS colleagues. Run…run away from service companies and join good product companies. Learn the fundamentals well. Be strong in one language and have some understanding of how AI can help you as your assistant in coding. That’s it, you can crack any interview. Get your letters and drop your papers and move on for better prospects.
