If anyone needs to save tax take the LIC policy at a discounted rate for HCL employees only.

I know the risk, if u can't handle the risk do FD or LIC. Nowadays everybody is ready to take risk. Someone in 20-30 should not go for LIC or FD, they have 30 yrs to invest in the long run and all risk will mitigate. Someone near his retirement can go for a debt fund or FD, when they have a big corpus or they don't have time to take risks.
The biggest risk is not to invest in the market.

That's why I'm telling you not to have much knowledge of the risk factor. We need to balance every person not in the 20-30 range. Do the research on fund manager they also not invested only in MF. They are balancing their funds who are managing your funds.

Yes balance is required but not in LIC.

Investing in LIC for saving tax is worst investment strategy, gongor ELSS or PPF

There is no life cover available. You can get more returns there but these instruments do not cover your life.

Same in term plan they are covering up to 60 years if need more then you need to pay a large amount and nothing gets if no happening. MF is a good idea to invest but you should have the life insurance too for your dependents because many policies cover you after maturity till 100th years without any payment.

Yes Term plan covering till 60, and remaining the amount is going to invest till 60, that can cover my family in case of my absence. Return on LIC is 4% , which can't beat any ELSS OR ETF OR MF 15-20%. This will never tell any Insurance advisors.

I think you don't know about the risk factor. In these all instruments the risk factor is very high. If you select a debt fund where the risk is low then we will get a low return, I'm not in favor of investing the whole amount there where the risk factor is very high. We need to balance this with many instruments and insurance policy one of in that list.

covering Life via term plan is good, the remaining amount can be added in any ELSS or MF,
Investing in LIC is a school investment strategy.
