Hello people , I am a new joinee in HCLtech( 14 days ) . My base location is Hyderabad however I want to relocate to Kolkata.

Is there any possibility to do the same and who should I contact for the same?

My current manager said that location is not a restriction and I can work from any location but the location mentioned in offer letter needs to be changed . Is that true ?

You can work from your preferred location instead of the base location mentioned in your offer letter — there's no need to update the offer letter for this.
Some may assume that relocating requires an open ODC at your desired location, but that’s not true. While having an open ODC there is ideal, it’s not mandatory.
Contact your current location HR to arrange the seat code for an open ODC at your preferred location. Your HR will need to coordinate with the HR team at the Kolkata HCL office to obtain this information.
This arrangement is temporary (my colleague uses this policy from past 3 years) and subject to change if management decides to revoke this policy, you may be required to return to your base location.
For permanent relocation you must have completed a minimum of 18 months in your current project or at your base location.

The HR partner is on leave . I have already given an official mail to My manager and HR partner . My manager told me that approval is needed from Capability Head . I am not sure whether the capability head will allow me . I genuinely have reason both my parents are aged and I am the only child . I cannot leave them at this time. Is there any way I can convince the capability head . Manager said that decision depends on the HR and Capability head . However the manager said that he will support me .

Ohh parents are aged sorry I didn't read the full point check with your HR Partner to get approval for WFH tell them genuine problem and you are the only single child you also have to look after him go with the HR they will definitely help you
Changing location even as a fresher is possible but depends on your RM,CM. If they have no problem, the process will be easy, If not you won’t go.
One of the fresher who joined with me, relocated within 5 days of joining to his hometown.
My RM ( Reporting Manager ) said there is no location restrictions. I called my recruiter saying the same he is saying to talk to HR partner. I am totally confused .And what is CM ( I am new to HCLTECH hence asking )
