I’m in a project based in Chennai but I’m working from Noida location and the manager is requesting me to shift to Chennai location due to the confidentiality of some applications. I’m also an E2 band employee with 1.7 years of experience. When I searched HCL leap, There are no opportunities for E2 band with less than 7 years of experience. What kind of a deadlock is this? Also a few of my batch mates that got placed through college into HCL were also forced to resign as they took release from a support project in hopes of finding a development role but as it turns out, our experience doesn’t match our band so we can’t switch a project? If any one is facing the same issue, please shed some light on this.
There is nothing like confidentiality with location it is a fake reason to pressurise you.
The reason given to you by your manager is non-sensical. Please continue to work from your Noida location and clearly state that you can't and will not relocate to Chennai.
My manager is saying that there are contractual reasons due to which this is a mandate. What are my options?
He/She is just trying to fool around.
Contractual contract - With whom? HCL or the Client?
If he says it is with HCL then respond that in your contract you have joined at Noida.
If it is with Client, then why was it not communicated while joining the project, where were people from different locations taken into the project.
Please don't give in to his/her demand.
Managers in HCL have no actual power. Please continue to work from Noida and need not be bothered by his location change demand.
If he/she keeps on bothering you, ask for relocation bonus, which most likely he/she will not give as powers are not with him/her.
How did you become tech lead within 1.7 years 🤔
HCL is one of the worst organisation with low pay and making lives of employees into hell.
Managers like yours make the work environment toxic and most like he/she is a non technical person.
Work from Noida only, or ask for release, if you have completed 18 month in project
Worst environment
Switch the company.
