Hello Everyone, I was going through the housing loan section and came to know that if the property is jointly owned then also, only one owner can claim it. Is it true? Or there are other ways around. Help on this will be highly appreciated.

Yes whoever is paying the emi only that person can claim

Yes 1 of the co owners can only claim the Home loan Interest, while the other Co owner would need to submit the declaration that he / she will not be claiming it . The declaration form is available under the same IT investment portal
