Trending @HCL; Is it possible to change project or location?

I'm techbee. I'm from southern region and my location is in nagpur. My dad health condition is worse and hospital can't help this. I tried to convey HR and project leads to change my location but they didn't help me. Instead they argued once the consent is signed for location, it can't be changed. Is there any way for this?

In my opinion, HRs will be of no help. They are mostly company's puppets, and they would always prefer company over an employee's well being. If it is WFH, continue to work from home. As long as you are on billing (i.e. you are a money minting machine for the company), they won't do anything. Just keep Working From Home and avoid discussing this with your manager or HR. Most of the Managers in HCL are about 45 + of age and are non-technical and have been in the company for a long time. So, they have not seen anything apart from current company's culture, and are quite rigid in their opinion and decisions. Their mindset is that of a frog in a small well. Just keep working from home.

They won't. Nagpur is a tier 2 city l, they won't have to give shift allowances and hike as equal to main locations.

Outside world is saying ,HCL has good job security but these days could see typical decisions from manager and he’s ,especially NV locations are worst,I never recommend these locations to anyone

I'm in the same boat, I have been asking the HR for transfer for almost a year. That just reply with 'we are not transferring out of nagpur' with no exception. I would say keep working from home for the time being.

Indeed. Also changing your location from New Vista to Hub location is difficult. You can talk to your HR and Manager explaining your situation to them. They are the ones who can help you with this.
