I am working as a NOC engineer for almost 2 years now, it’s a level 1 team. I am considering moving into Network Team which is level 2 team.

Please advise what is the process to do so?

I just found out and let me share it with you.

  1. HR will not Help you
  2. Look for your RM or Skip level.
  3. If they are not agreeing or making delays you need to wait for leadership connect (when someone from senior leadership preferably your Director or DU Head connects with your team to know how are you doing or you have any issues or queries like that) because that will the best stage. [NOTE: Do not make baseless claim in front of them if you are saying you are skilled in something you should have some kind of certificate to back your claim]
  4. Keep good relationship with the Manager of the team you want to go into cuz ultimately it will all come to him for approval when it comes to your movement. [Senior Leadership will take decision only after consulting both your RM and him so keep good relationship with both ]
