Trending @HCL; How much percentage of Basic Salary can be invested as VPF in HCL?

Max 8% of the basic salary can be invest in VPF, so it will become 12% PF + 8% VPF = 20% total good number though

I personally do it

Other companies allow VPF to be invested upto 88% of basic. Not sure why the restriction of 8% here.
