Trending @HCL; Capgemini vs Infosys – which is better for growth

Hi all, I have offers from Capgemini (Associate Consultant – 9.5 LPA fixed) and Infosys (Associate Consultant – 8.89 LPA with 10% variable), both Bangalore location.

One difference I noticed is:

Capgemini: Basic ₹27K + more allowances

Infosys: Basic ₹33K + lower allowance part

I’m confused — which company is better to choose considering career growth, onsite chances, and job security?

Would appreciate inputs from people working in either of these companies 🙏

Not aware about the network engineering role, but in general CapG over Infy any day. From a salary stand point, both of them are below 12L (no tax till 12L as per the new tax regime), lastly, fixed monthly income is better than awaiting 10% variable.

P.S. Just my POV & thoughts, you might have a different opinion.

Associate Consultants in Infy are paid 10.5L including 10 to 15% variable. I think you can ask the same.
Don't show them the CapG offer but let them know you hold an offer from a global competitor.

IMP: Infy might not revise their compensation as per their past records.

Use a tax calculator to see what your taxes would be and then take a call. Generally better the basic, the better the PF, HRA etc…
