But million dollar question is: is it worth rejoining any organization again?

Ex HCL can join anytime, BUT if he joins within 1 year of his LWD then he will join at same package he left, 1 yr is cooling down period, after 1 yr he can join at market rate

Between 1-2 yrs exceptional approval required , VP level approval, difficult to get now days

I rejoined after 1.5yrs.. I don't think there is any restrictions.
