Trending @HCL; Being Retained / Switch Job

My project Manager offered for a band change and desired salary after placing resignation. This seems like a good deal however I'm a bit confused to choose a new company and get new exposures or get retained with the same company . Honestly it's the comfort zone that stops me, the new company's traveling distance is very long it's twice the distance, and I don't know how new managers will be. Any opinions would help.

Check and think about your own parameters - money, band, work environment, work pressure, travel to n fro work, comfortability ( or any other ones that are applicable to you). Before moving out or staying back.. Go with whichever gives you higher value across these . And on another note.. how is existing RM planning to match desired salary - through retaining bonus ( spread across years) or directly increasing CTC ( and if CTC will that be applicable from next appraisal or right upfront now)

compensation revision is yet to be discussed. If I'm planning to get retained I'll be asking for upfront revision before withdrawing my resignation

Alright. Good luck..
If you end up getting retained, do post how did the salary negotiation go ( bonus vs upfront increase)

If the core reason for switching has not been met, then switch. If money was the driving factor, then no point in switching as you're being offered the same here.

Starting from scratch (like building rapport, getting to know the project, etc.) at a new company will be exciting.

Hey if the same salary+ band change is happening then better stay in HCL because in new company it will take atleast 6-1 year to build trust & understand the process. So instead of that you can train yourself in HCL technically with opting certification courses.

Yea, but It's mostly going to be just a change in the band but I doubt there'll be any recognition related to the role. They don't seem to have a plan for how they are going to utilise me / give opportunity with the band. It seems to me just like retention tactics. Furthermore I feel the current project is stagnant, doing the same things again and again. Even when a client extends their tech architecture it's going to different people.
